Biography

Dr. Sapireddy is a microbiologist with expertise in bioenergy generation, microbial interactions, and wastewater treatment. From June 2015 to September 2021, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) under Prof. Pascal Saikaly. His research focused on evaluating the efficiency of novel microbial species for bioenergy production, studying interactions within designed mixed cultures under anaerobic conditions, and optimizing microbial electrolysis cells for enhanced biogas production. Additionally, he contributed to the scale-up of anaerobic electrochemical membrane bioreactors (MBRs), advancing sustainable wastewater treatment and renewable energy technologies.
