David is an experienced bioprocess engineer with a strong background in environmental biotechnology. During his master's studies at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, he conducted research on modeling niche differentiation among anammox bacteria and partial nitritation processes for mainstream saline wastewater. As part of his academic journey, David had the opportunity to develop his master's thesis at the Water Desalination and Reuse Center (WDRC) at KAUST, under the supervision of Professor Pascal Saikaly and Dr. Muhammad Ali. His work at KAUST further deepened his expertise in environmental bioprocesses.
