Biography

Dr. Zhongwei Wang is an environmental engineer specializing in decentralized wastewater treatment and aerobic granular sludge. He earned his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), where he conducted research under the supervision of Professor Pascal Saikaly from 2011 to 2017. His doctoral research focused on innovative wastewater treatment technologies and resource recovery. From 2018 to 2022, Dr. Wang worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences, in Beijing, China. He was part of the Group of Advanced Treatment & Resource Recovery (ATRR), where his research focused on decentralized wastewater treatment and aerobic granular sludge technology. He is also the Co-founder of Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., leveraging his experience to develop sustainable water treatment solutions. Currently, he is affiliated with Shanghai Water Environment Technology Co., Ltd., where he continues to work on innovative solutions for wastewater treatment.
